Blue Field I was installed along a wall in the Burnaby Art Gallery as a three-dimensional or ‘relief’ painting. After all the objects were put on the wall, I painted parts of the objects and the wall. There were three pieces in this exhibition (Red, Blue and Yellow) and each installation addressed different ways of framing. Red Field II was framed by placing the work in a corner and creating a grid-like structure. Blue Field I was framed by the wall and Yellow Field I filled the room.
